Gold PS3 named most expensive console

A golden PlayStation 3 from gadget manufacturer Stuart Hughes has been named as the world's most expensive console. Priced at £200,000, the limited edition machine has been reformed with 1,600 grams of solid 22ct gold and encrusted with 58 0.5ct diamonds on both sides of the disc loading entrance.

"Officially the most individual and expensive PS3 in the world. Twelve weeks of unambiguous workmanship was involved to fashion this beautiful console," read the designer's description of the product. According to the company, only three of the elite consoles will ever be made. Stuart Hughes has previously developed a golden Nintendo Wii and gold plated iPods.
