Leblanc Mirabeau - $765,000
You might be wondering, what the hell is this? Believe us when you say, we thought the same thing. If you’ve ever wanted to own a racing car that can be used on the road, the Leblanc is the perfect choice. It was designed for the 23 Hours of Le Mans race and it features a 4.7-liter V8 with 700 horsepower. It might not be as fast as the SSC, at only 230 mph, but that’s not too shabby.
Koenigsegg CCX - $1.1 million
The CCX features so many toys and gizmos that it would take 1,000 words to explain it all. Luckily for you, we’re not going to do that quite yet. To keep it simple, the CCX uses carbon ceramic brakes, a hydraulic lift system, navigation, rear-view camera, and a massive V8 that can help the car hit 245 mph. It has a six-speed transversal transmission and carbon wheels to keep things light.
Koenigsegg CCXR - $1.3 million
Is the normal CCX just not good enough? Do you have an extra $200,000 to blow? Well, the CCXR might be for you. What makes this car special is the fact that it can run on E85 and E100 biofuel, as well as 98 octane. On regular fuel, the motor will produce 806 horsepower, but on the bio stuff, you can get 1,018 horses out of the 4.7-liter twin-supercharged motor. Stomp on the accelerator and you can hit 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 250 miles per hour.
Maybach Landaulet - $1.4 million
For the businessperson who has it all and just wants to show off, the new Maybach is something else. Under the long hood is a 604 horsepower V12 that can take the car to 155 mph. The roof can be opened fully at the rear of the car to give passengers a gorgeous view of the sky. The chairs are encased in white leather and there are curtains and reclined rear seats.
Lamborghini Reventon - $1.42 million
Something to note before we talk about the Lamborghini is that the V in the Reventon name is pronounced like a B. Anyway, the look of this car is just sensational. It has sharp lines, clean surfaces, and looks like a fighter jet. Only 20 will ever be made so act soon, or they might be gone.
Lamborghini Reventón Roadster - $1.56 million
The Roadster version features a C12 with 650 horsepower and the same great looks as the coupe. Underneath it all, the car is just a Murcielago LP640, but it’s the uniqueness that sets it apart. The exterior is made of CFC, a very lightweight carbon fiber material. There is also a G-force-meter to show much your spine can take while corning. This is the most expensive Lamborghini in the world.
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 - $1.67 million
The car that has set the bar in terms of performance machines will cost you as much as a Beverly Hills mansion. The Veyron has a W16 motor and was the fastest car in the world until the SSC came along. The Veyron took back the title with the Super Sports version this year. The thing that makes this car so special is the amount of luxury you get with it. Most supercars are hard and coarse, but this is soft and relaxing on normal roads.
Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster - $1.8 million
As we all know, this is the convertible version of the Cinque Coupe, which is a road legal version of the Zonda R. Like all Zonda models, it uses a Mercedes-Benz 678 horsepower V12. Flat out it can hit 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Stomp on the brakes and the car will slow down from 62 mph in just 2.1 seconds, moving every internal organ forward. Only five will be built.
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport - $2 million
The Veyron Grand Sport is like the Veyron, but with two roofs. The first is an umbrella-like spare and the second is a solid tinted polycarbonate roof. It can hit 233 mph using its W16 motor and only 150 will be made. Some luxury features include daytime running lights, a rear-view camera, and custom horseshoe wheels. Oil billionaires, get your wallets out.
Koenigsegg Trevita - $2.21 million
The world’s most expensive car, the Trevita is based on the CCXR, but with a few touches to jack up the price. There is a new diamond-color carbon fiber body, a hydraulic lift system, a tire monitoring system, paddle shifters, and carbon fiber brakes. Only three will be made and each will feature a 1,018 horsepower motor. It will use the same twin-supercharged V8 from the CCXR.
One key thing to remember is that these are the most expensive cars in the world for sale in 2010. While the new Aston Martin One-77 might be in the middle of the pack, you can’t buy one yet. The Ferrari Enzo and Mercedes McLaren SLR 722 aren’t sold anymore. So, if you have tons of money and want a new car, take a look at a few of these machines.
